Stocks on the Move Apple (AAPL) reached a 52-week high in anticipation of the upcoming release of the iPhone 6. The tech giant's shares were up 0.2% at midday, to a split-adjusted $102.45. Mobile phone chip-maker Avago Technologies (AVGO), a supplier for Apple and which reported a 70% increase in third-quarter adjusted earnings late Thursday, was up 8.7% at midday as several analysts raised their price targets for the stock. Foreign Markets European stocks were little changed amid ongoing tensions in Ukraine and a warning from the U.K.
Our view, you can sell the early rally and buy weakness, or just buy weakness. I put out over 3 weeks ago that the S&P was going to make new high and that the buy stops went up to 2007 to 2008 and I think there is a good possibility we see that today. I also think there will be a lot less people online and a lot less trading. As we warned yesterday, thin markets can pull unpleasant surprises on unsuspecting traders. So be smart; cut back.
